At thredpartners, we work alongside nonprofit teams every day who are doing deeply important work in systems that are complex, under-resourced, and often fragmented. We see the care, creativity, and persistence it takes to show up for communities, even when the systems around them make that work harder than it needs to be.
The Pitch Us Program is our way of giving back, with intention.
We have always done pro bono work. What is new is our commitment to focus that work on one thing we believe in deeply: collaboration as a pathway to better, more durable outcomes.
Beginning next year, nonprofit organizations will be invited to pitch a project, challenge, or idea where collaborative thinking could unlock new possibilities. This might be a partnership you have wanted to build but have not had the time or structure to design, a system that needs clarity across organizations, or a shared problem that would benefit from focused strategy and follow-through.
From the submissions we receive, we will select one organization to partner with thredpartners for a pro bono engagement grounded in collaboration, systems thinking, and practical action.
Applications open February 27th through April 17th.

Why Collaboration
No single organization can solve poverty on its own.
People do not experience challenges in neat categories. Housing, income, health, education, family stability, and legal needs show up together, often at the same time. When systems respond in silos, people are left to navigate complexity on their own.
We believe meaningful and lasting progress happens when organizations work together across roles, sectors, and boundaries to design systems that reflect how people actually experience their lives.
Collaboration can:
-
Make services easier to find and easier to use
-
Reduce duplication and unnecessary handoffs
-
Align resources around shared outcomes
-
Create solutions that last beyond a single program or grant
Through the Pitch Us Program, we want to help nonprofits explore, design, implement, communicate, and fund collaborative approaches that move beyond short-term fixes and toward real systems change. Our goal is to support work that helps people not just get by, but truly move out of poverty.
What the Selected Organization Will Receive
The organization selected through the Pitch Us Program will receive pro bono strategic services from the thredpartners team.
Together, we will define a scope that is grounded in your goals, your capacity, and the realities of your work. This is a hands-on partnership focused on clarity, momentum, and practical outcomes you can use.
This program does not provide direct financial funding. Our contribution is time, expertise, and deep engagement.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for organizations that are curious, thoughtful, and ready to work together.
This program is a good fit if you have a challenge that feels bigger than one team or one organization and you want time and support to think it through with partners. You do not need to have all the answers. You do need to be open to collaboration, honest reflection, and shared problem-solving.
We are especially interested in projects where:
-
Collaboration could make services easier to navigate for the people you serve
-
Multiple organizations are touching the same issue and could benefit from better alignment
-
You want to move from good ideas to clear next steps
-
There is a real opportunity to improve systems, not just individual programs
This is not a report-only engagement. It is a working partnership focused on doing, learning, and building something useful together.
